The rage is on as Coca Cola shocks the world with the release of Lemon-Do, their first ever alcoholic beverage.
These (3) lemon fizzed flavored drinks are only sold in a can and carry anywhere between 3-7% alcohol. The classic soda company describes the drink to the world, categorizing it as "unique, with a focus target market of young drinkers - especially women. They have my vote!
Coca Cola's Japanese president Jorge Garduno gave a press statement regarding the drink. "We haven't experimented in the low alcohol category before, but it's an example of how we continue to explore opportunities outside of our core areas." The fizzed drink hit the market on May 29th. Unfortunately, the new beverages are only sold on the small Japanese island of Kyushu.
BUMMER!
Garduno added that the idea of Coca Cola alcohol drink is likely to stay in Japan for now. Rather than sharing this amazing new creation with the world, they believe that the drink contains "unique and special" qualities that are only accessible within the Japanese market.
