Shark Tank Star Daymond John Gets Engaged

Congratulations are due for this happy couple.

The well-known founder of FUBU clothing who've invested in millions during his time on the panel of Shark Tank couldn't let this opportunity fly by.

47-year-old Daymond John got down on one knee to propose to longtime girlfriend, Heather Taras. This live act of sweetness took place during Thursday's taping of Shark Tank. We hear he also gave her a 9.5-carat emerald-cut diamond ring which was custom-designed for his wife-to-be.

Just earlier this year, the couple had more good news to share, welcoming home a baby girl names Minka Jagger John.

During an interview with US Magazine, he mentioned having planned to ask Heather for her hand in marriage for quite some time - about two to three years to be exact. So of course the proposal to its entirety came as a total surprise to her.

"I was a little nervous," said John of the proposing. "You know, you never know how someone is going to react, of course. She could always say no, and that's the first time that I've been on the carpet pitching somebody! So, a little nerve-racking, of course."

Well, there you have it. I don't have any critique for this one, but I am going to say that I can't wait for the wedding photos. They make such a beautiful couple. Congrats again!
